Oh look, Elby draws manga! My dear livestream buddies should know this page ^^

This is the first part of my entry for the WhytManga Tournament 2013 quarter finals.

Yes, I'm going to draw that scene we never saw in the manga or anime. Some SnK fanart was over due and Marco is a major cutie and needs some love after all these half-assed jokes people make about him. see what I did there?
I'm not sure if it was a good or bad idea to pick Attack on Titan. I love that series, it gives me the opportunity to draw deformed rape-faced titans and what you can do with the 3d maneuver gear is fricken incredible and has the instant coolness factor BUT it takes place in a medieval-ish town (= background hell) and the uniforms are so damn complicated. X_X What a challenge.

Showing what I'm planning to do so early (the quarter finalists were announced two days ago) is probably a very bad idea but I'm going all out on this, I might as well play with open cards. It's also a nice motivation for myself ^^

Btw in this round of the tournament I will compete with Everyone should check out his gallery, this guy is such a pro, has a great own style and is very experienced especially when it comes to manga pages - where I'm a total noob - I am slightly terrified to be matched against him but I won't go down without a fight

It's just the setting/cover page, wait till you see the action parts The 2nd page is around 50-60% done. I plan to make it around 10 pages long, at least that's what I have thumbnailed and I probably won't be able to finish the complete thing until the end of this round but that's ok, I would've wanted to do something like this anyway, contest or not.
I've never drawn such a detailed background in my life. This made me such a pro at drawing roofs XD and gave me nasty cramps in my hand. No seriously, I learned so much making this it's not even funny. (I hate it that I already see so many mistakes though asdfghjkl)

Wow I'm ranting a novel again, who reads this anyway XD
